4diac IDE On The Web

Abstract

In this work, it was investigated whether it is possible with the current state of technology, to operate the 4diac IDE in a cloud environment. To enable a microservice architecture for the monolithic development environment, solutions for similar graphic editors were considered. In addition, technologies are examined that make it possible to operate a graphic editor as a microservice in a cloud. Furthermore, a prototype was developed, which serves as a frontend for the 4diac IDE. It has been realized to display function block networks in a web environment, which forms the basis for the above mentioned architecture.
